How We Grade Condition

Every item Shanasa sells carries a condition grade. The grade is a promise, and the description tells you exactly what the flaws are. This page explains what each grade means so you can buy without guessing.

Grade A+ — Like new

Worn once or twice, or never worn. No creasing, no marks, no fading. Original tags or box often still present. Priced closest to retail because it effectively is retail.

Grade A — Barely loved

Worn and cleaned, with no flaws visible at arm's length. Colour is full, structure is sound, soles and seams intact. Safe for daily wear. This is the grade most of our stock falls into.

Grade B — Well loved

Honest light wear that we name specifically: creasing on a toe box, light pilling under the arms, faint scuffing on a heel. Nothing structural, nothing that shortens the life of the piece. Typically 40 to 60 percent below retail.

Grade C — Loved hard

One or more clear flaws, each disclosed and photographed. A stain that didn't wash out, worn sole tread, a small hole, a missing button. Fully wearable, but you should expect the flaw because we've told you about it. Priced accordingly.

Grade D — For repair or rough use

Significant wear. Compressed cushioning, heavily worn tread, thinning fabric. We sell these cheaply and label them plainly. Good for knocking about in, for a repair project, or for upcycling. Not good if you want something that looks new.

Why we grade at all

Most preloved sellers in Pakistan write "good condition" and leave you hoping. That's how people end up refusing parcels at the door, and how sellers end up eating courier charges both ways.

Grading fixes that. If you know a Grade C pair has worn tread before you order it, worn tread isn't a disappointment — it's what you paid for.

What a grade does not cover

The grade describes condition, not fit. Always check the measurements we publish in centimetres against something you already own. Sizing labels vary enormously between brands and decades.

If a grade is wrong

If an item arrives in worse condition than its grade states, that's our error and we refund it. You have 3 days from delivery to raise it. Wear that matches the stated grade is not a fault — see our refund policy for the full terms.
