The Air Jordan 1 is among the most faked sneakers because demand is so high. If you are buying a Low, Mid or High, work through these checks before you pay.
1. Compare the box and inside tag
The style code on the box label should match the tag inside the shoe. Ask for photos of both. Poor print quality or mismatched codes are warning signs.
2. Look at the shape
Each Jordan 1 has a distinctive silhouette. Compare the toe box, the collar and the heel with official photos of the same model and colourway.
3. Check logo quality
The Wings logo on the collar (on models that have it) and the Jumpman or Nike branding should be sharp and well-defined. Blurry or shallow embossing is suspicious.
4. Inspect stitching and leather
Look for even, tight stitching and clean overlays. The leather should feel supple, not plasticky, and the glue smell should not be strong.
5. Check the insole and outsole
Insole printing and the tread should look crisp and symmetrical.
6. Read the seller
Extremely low prices, stock photos and refusal to show tag photos are all red flags.
